Sample Tasking Template for Agent Pro Sites

Training Objectives/Goals

At the end of this session, you will understand how to create a production task for Agent Pro sites.

Best Practices

Our goal is to write clear tasks and provide our teammates with every resource they need to complete them well.

Always write the task as if the person receiving it has never seen the website. Many times, they have not.
Make sure to provide as much information as possible in the most simple way.
Explain simply.
Have a task flow. Start from the changes needed above the fold, and then work your way through.
Zip up large batches of files and upload them to Dropbox or Google Drive. You can then share the link. Make sure the permissions allow “anyone with the link” to access so they’re not scrambling at 3 am our time trying to get access to files. It’s under Advanced Settings. http://prntscr.com/9scecv
If you don’t know how to describe something, use visual aids like https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/ , https://jam.dev/s https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html or https://snipboard.io/ . Showing is better than telling.
Say hello and thank you. Build relationships with Production, and you will see better results in communication and execution.
Don’t cut and paste client emails. Rewrite and filter what the client says. It is your responsibility to simplify your clients’ requests.

Pro Tips

If you are missing any assets, just ask the developers to use the default content/image for now.
If using custom fonts, make sure to provide the font files.
Don’t forget to add the folder link to your assets.

If you are creating a dummy production task,

Make sure you mark your production task as TEST. ie. CID - Initial Site Set-up (TEST)
On the instructions page, also add: This is just a test task. Please ignore.
