All about the Social Media Wall Plugin

Training Objectives/Goals

By the end of this session, you’ll clearly understand how the Social Media Wall Plugin works and how to set it up for clients.

Social Media Wall Plugin

  • The Social Media Wall Plugin is a proprietary tool developed by Agent Image that allows clients to seamlessly display their latest social media posts on their WordPress websites.
  • Internal Jargon: SMW – Short for Social Media Wall

Why Do We Use This Plugin?

At Agent Image, we understand that social media login credentials are highly sensitive. To keep things secure and hassle-free, our plugin allows our clients to connect their social media accounts without sharing their login details.

Here’s how it works

  1. We enroll clients in our internal dashboard, automatically sending them an email notification to create an account.
  2. The client creates an account and connects their social media profiles directly—there is no need to share credentials with us.

This streamlined approach enhances security and eliminates the hassle of two-step verification.

Supported Social Media Platforms

  • Facebook Business Page
  • Instagram Business
  • TikTok
  • YouTube

Key Features

  • Customizable themes to match website aesthetics
  • Adjustable post-display limits
  • Options to clear cache and deauthorize accounts

The Social Media Wall Plugin effortlessly integrates social media content directly onto a website, helping boost engagement, showcase dynamic content, and strengthen an online presence.

Step 1: Installing the plugin

The plugin should be automatically installed on Agent Image X and Agent Pro templates. If it isn’t installed, submit a Salesforce production task request for installation. Step 2: Enroll the client in the Social Media dashboard

  • Follow the step-by-step proces in this presentation for the step-by-step process on how to send an invite to clients.
  • Refer to slides 7 to 9 of this presentation for the complete status guide of the social media dashboard.

Step 3: Informing the Client

  • Ask the client to check their email for setup instructions.
  • Share the client guide with them.
  • An email template for this is available in Salesforce.

Step 4: Final Steps

  • Once the client connects their accounts, their status should show as CONNECTED on the dashboard. sub

Good to know:

  • The system does not support multiple accounts, but it does support multiple pages.

  • If a team has two members, they need to ensure their Facebook pages are linked under one account.

  • You can now authenticate the connection on the website by clicking the “Authenticate Social Media” button under the Social Media Wall tab. sub sub

  • From the backend, the Social Media Wall will display the account information, show the theme options, and allow users to choose where on the site to have the Social Media Wall. It can also be limited to the number of posts, have a Clear Cache option, and Deauthorize the Application.

    • Client Information Box: This shows the account status and the social media accounts tied to the Social Media Wall. sub
    • Themes: Select a theme to use on the page. Make sure to select a theme to use (there is no default theme selected). sub
    • Clear Cache: Use this option in case new posts are not appearing as they should. sub
    • Options: sub
      • Select the page to which you want to add the Social Media Wall and ensure a page is created for it.
      • You can change the maximum number of posts per section.
      • You can add a placeholder image for posts without a preview/thumbnail.
      • Click Save Changes to update once done.
