Custom Logo Design Process

Training Objectives/Goals

By the end of this session, you will understand how to approach a custom logo project.

Why clients opt for a Custom Logo Design

Clients usually opt for a custom logo to establish branding and set themselves apart in real estate.

Custom vs Free Logo Design

When clients inquire about a logo design, it doesn’t always mean they would willingly pay for it. It is important to present 2 options to the client. 1) free design 2) paid design

Free: This is a simple writing of their name to match the overall look and feel of the design. No creative input. Just a standard writing of their name/company using the overall fonts used for the design.

Paid: Anything goes. It starts at 399.Youcouldchargemore,but399. You could charge more, but 300 is the floor price possible.

With No Existing Logo Closed Opportunities

When a client expresses interest in having a custom logo design but would like to see our portfolio, we can send them: https://www.agentimage.com/resources/logo-portfolio/ You may also send the Logo Email Template in the VIP DS Folder in Salesforce.

So your client decided to purchase a custom logo design: Congratulations! You need to have written confirmation from the client of the one-time charge. Once you have this, inform your manager so he/she can create an Opportunity for you and request billing to run the client’s card on file.

With Logo Design Closed Opportunity

When a client has already purchased a logo design (check Salesforce for this), send the logo questionnaire: https://kickoffs.agentimage.com/logo/

Logo Process

1. Closed Opportunity

Do not create an ala carte project unless there is a closed opportunity for this. If it is for a VIP/Reserve client, a zeroed out opp is still needed. Ask your manager for assistance.

2. Salesforce Ala Carte Project

Create an ala carte project for the logo design.

3. Logo Questionnaire

The client must fill this out, so all details can be presented to the design team for their reference. Additional details from the client-facer are highly recommended to produce the desired proof set for presentation. https://kickoffs.agentimage.com/logo/ Make sure to add the client’s filled out questionnaire in the ala carte project.

4. Salesforce Production Task

  • Please note that the initial task for Logo Designs will take up one (1) Initial Design slot in the Design Tracker.
  • Clients will be given 3 options for the Initial Design, and will be asked to choose 1 design for development.
  • Clients will be given 2 Redesign options and 3 Revisions. As also the case with Homepage Designs, Redesigns will be applied in the event that the initial logo set does not meet the client’s expectations.

Pro Tips:

Does my client need their own font license to use the designs? No, not if you are creating graphics or documents that have rasterized or properly embedded font data, such as a PDF, JPEG, or PNG.

However, if your client needs to install the font to edit your design, they will need their own license, either through a Creative Cloud subscription or a desktop license purchase.

Are you having challenges creating your Logo Design Task? We’ve got you covered! Use this document when drafting your logo design task. Just download and save a copy in your Google Drive or local folder.

5. Logo Kit

The logo design may take up to 2 weeks to complete. Once the client sends in their approval for the proposed Logo Design, the Logo Kit* must be assigned to the design team so the necessary file formats can be sent to the client.

Logo Task Examples:

Compliance Guidelines

Once the logo design is complete:

  1. We need to send the logo kit to the client.
  2. Add the final design and PSD links to the project>Project Information field.

sub

  1. Once the client confirms receipt of the logo kit, log the email and change the Project Phase to Soft Launch. QA will then mark this as completed. You may also ask your manager to update the Project Phase. sub
